Our partner is an american company which launched their product - mobile messaging app in 2009. This app gives people access to free communication (text messages, audio and video calls, sharing media content), social networking features (user profiles and friends searching function) and enjoyable content (inbuilt game platform, media creator system) – all within a single platform.

Currently there are more than 250 million users of this app all over the world. Company was given more than $280 million investments in the recent time. So, the company is very excited to continue to build upon their foundation of free communications, while extending into new growth areas in social networking and content.

Now our partner is opening an offshore development office in St. Petersburg. We are looking for Engineering Tech Lead (Mobile Development) for this office. This is an exciting time to join the company, get the opportunity to realize your ambitions and become the technical head of Russian branch. 

 

We are looking for you, if you are:

Leader – you have to lead a team of 10-20 developers on Russian side: tasks planning and assignment, implementation monitoring, etc.

Tech Expert - the role entails 20-30% hands-on coding, you will respond for architecture decisions, so we need a real professional with great technical skills. 

Manager – interaction with US department will be on you: provide reporting, drive project planning, negotiate with product management and other activities.

 

Requirements

• Mastery of complex software engineering and architecture design concepts, such as design patterns, object-oriented design and programming, concurrency, cross-compilation, managed vs unmanaged runtimes, databases, scalability patterns, constrained environments (embedded systems), high load back-end development (java), mobile development (iOS, Android).
• 7+ years of programming experience.
• 2+ years of leading a team experience (as a tech lead or a manager).
• Fluent English is a must.

 

Technical environment of our App: Java backend code and mobile client for iOS and Android (Objective-C, Java and C++).
