About position:

Database Administrator who will manage and advance the capabilities by providing design, implementation, support and maintenance solutions for database systems. The position includes providing new architectures and scalability solutions to ever growing business and data processing needs. You will take responsibility for promoting technical excellence with development teams ensuring the solutions are of the highest level of technical quality. You will have a working knowledge of development best practices, including agile delivery and comfortable working as part of cross functional team structures.

Requirements:

Qualification - bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent education;

Experience:

- Expert working with SQL Server having +6 years on production systems;

- Experience in implementations and management of high availability solutions like Clustering, AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, replication;

- Monitoring and tuning, Backup / Restore strategies, partitioning, InMemory OLTP, SSIS and SSRS;

- Troubleshooting for software, hardware, and related network communications;

- Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored rocedures;

- Manage production, QA and development database environments.

Will be a plus:

- Windows server, clustering, security delegation, storage components.

- Cloud infrastructure, including automation / scripting techniques.

- Worked on large scale enterprise systems.

- Experience of software development within the travel industry.

- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.

- Understanding and commercial experience of high demand web systems and techniques such as caching, multi-threading and asynchronous coding.
