B2B team seeks an Associate Director, Mobile Development to lead the Mobile Department. You will work with a modern stack of technologies to create mobile solutions for the biggest names in sports, media, entertainment, and active lifestyle. As an Associate Director, you will steer the Mobile Development efforts across multiple products and lines of business. You will mentor a group of iOS and Android managers, create a high performing mobile development team and foster a culture of innovation. You must be comfortable switching between multiple projects, both leading as a manager and contributing as an individual.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior leadership during application design, development and testing of various projects
- Oversee iOS and Android Managers to deliver continuous business value, quality and consistency across the projects
- Collaborate with various stakeholders of the company to ensure all requirements are met
- Participate in project development on all stages - from business requirements review to execution of the project
- Develop and Enforce best practices and guidelines for mobile development in the company
- Responsible for effective utilization of mobile development resources
- Assist in resource planning based on business forecast
- Conduct code reviews and provide valuable feedback as needed
- Provide technical estimates and risk analysis to project manager
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in iOS or Android development
- Experience leading a few teams at the same time, working with multiple brands
- 2+ year of people management experience
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and prioritizing them
- Experience in cross collaboration with Mobile and Back-end teams
- Expert knowledge in one of the mobile development language : Swift/Objective-C/Java/Kotlin
- Expert knowledge in creating rich user interfaces
- Experience with Xcode or Android Studio
- Confident usage of Git, ability to rewrite history
- Understanding of application distribution
- Knowledge of App Store review guidelines
- Solid knowledge of multithreading
- Experience with push notifications
- Understanding of Mobile accessibility, localization and internationalization of mobile apps.
- Experience with reactive programming as a plus
