Our customer is the industry’s only company exclusively focused on Java and the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and widely known for its Zing and Zulu JVMs, is looking for a Senior Technical Writer.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop documentation content, structure and representation that are easy to read, search and navigate.

• Write end-user documentation for Java runtimes, developer tools, and server-side developer services.

• Ensure that the documentation is technically accurate and brings clarity to complex processes.

• Monitor release schedules and work with engineering and product management to gather and document all relevant changes.

• Implement processes of keeping the information up-to-date, accurate, and relevant for the evolving products.

• Regularly review and improve existing documentation.

• Follow best practices in using documentation tools and visual frameworks to provide modern and well-structured documentation easy to use and maintain.

 

Key Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in technical documentation, and/or developer outreach/technology partner management roles.

• Experience using Git for asynchronous collaboration across large teams.

• Experience using WordPress or other Content Management Systems.

• Demonstrable experience in writing and proofreading content, especially technology-related content.

• Ability to build good working relationships with a worldwide team of engineers, product managers, and marketing professionals.

• Proficiency in English grammar and writing.

• Knowledge of Java and application performance management is a plus.
